Saturday Morning Metamora Gravel Grinder @10:00 AM...
Author Last Post

Good evening, once again!

The weather forecast is looks promising for this upcoming Saturday.  We have some color beginning to appear on the trees, but with predicted temperatures in the 70’s we cannot pass this one up.

Bring whatever bike you like to ride on dirt roads. All the routes leave from our house.  In past years, we have had one route which is 23 miles, but this year we have two more routes that you may find interesting.

Vickie and I will likely ride the short route, but load the route you’d like to ride and follow you Garmin, Wahoo, phone or whatever keeps you from getting lost. If you do get lost or have mechanical issues, I will come pick you up with the van, up our return to the house.

Here’s the links for each of the rides:

Metamora Gravel Grinder – Short https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28803770  ( formerly known as Lee & Vickie’s Dirt Road Ride)

Metamora Gravel Grinder – Medium  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34334196

Metamora Gravel Grinder – Long : https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34139502

Yes, we will have a few cue sheets with an overview map for each of the routes.

This will give you a chance to look over the routes and download the routes you plan to ride to whatever navigational device you prefer. This is strongly recommended since not all intersections have posted signs.  Yes, sometimes folks have been known to steal road signs.  It’s not just M-22 that has this issue.

Above all, we want everyone to be safe!  That means when inside the house or garage everyone needs to wear a mask, social distance and be mindful for the safety of everyone.

We plan to sit outdoors on the deck and backyard up returning from our rides.  We have tables and chairs, but bringing a lawn chair may not be a bad idea.  We just don’t know who will show up.  Which brings us to the next point…

Please R.S.V.P. so we have some idea who will be in attendance and we can plan refreshments  accordingly.

Stay safe and take care,
